About The Event
Come and stretch, reconnect and be bathed by beautiful sounds from the gongs. All followed by some warming, nutritious soup and herbal teas. A perfect session for that limbo time between Christmas and New Year!
Each season belongs to a particular element and has unique correspondences. By studying nature’s patterns and cycles, we can learn how to support our own health and stay well year-round. The energy of winter is deep and potent. Winter is a time to rest. Internally, energy is collected and held in reserve. This deeply nourishing Yin practice helps cultivate the necessary energy reserves. As well as the space to reflect on our purpose, and manifest a new vision with which to emerge into spring; the season of growth, renewal of spirit, and new beginnings.
Yin yoga consists of mostly floor based postures that are held in stillness, usually for 3 mins or more.
On a physical level, yin yoga works with the joints and connective tissues to allow greater freedom of movement and flexibility. But on a deeper level it works with the energy body to release blocks and create balance.
Yoga nidra or “yogic sleep” is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping. It is a state in which the body is completely relaxed, and we become systematically and increasingly aware of our inner world.
We are constantly influenced by heard and unheard sound frequencies and receiving a Gong Bath can help reduce stress, alter consciousness and create a deep sense of peace and wellbeing for better health. The perfect match to Yin Yoga and Nidra.
Please bring a mat, blankets and pillow to make a comfortable nest! Please also bring some water.
