About The Event
All you need to do is arrive, lie on a yoga mat, snuggle in a blanket and pillow, so that you are warm and comfortable. Breathe and relax... Then observe the mind beginning to slow, as superficial and irrational thoughts are suspended, stresses release and the whole being is gently returned to harmonic balance.
The drum has been used for thousands of years to create and maintain physical, mental, and spiritual health. Current research is now verifying the therapeutic effects of this ancient practice, indicating that rhythmic drumming may accelerate physical healing, boost the immune system and produce feelings of well-being. It may aid in helping to release emotional trauma and the reintegration of self.
Just like the gong, the drum can take us on a journey, inducing deep states of relaxation and meditation, quietening the rational left hemisphere of our brain and stimulating our creative right hemisphere, helping us to access information or guidance from our subconscious.
Please get in touch if you currently have any medical conditions or metal work in the body (such as pins, screw, plates etc). This just informs me of how much gong volume I can work with. Please bring a mat, blanket, pillow (anything to make a comfortable space) and some water.
