Want to feel less overwhelmed? In these times of change and uncertainty it's easy to begin to feel like we are spinning more plates than usual, that the balls we once managed to juggle have become heavier. When we have more to manage than a body can cope with, it's easy for the cup to over flow or for fuses to blow. Julianne and Steph warmly invite you to join them for a unique and healing experience, which leave you in a more steady, grounded and centred space.
The simple and gentle tapping technique that Julianne will share with you can support the body and mind to return to reset. Tapping (EFT- Emotional Freedom Technique) is not only an effective and powerful therapeutic intervention that's used to address anxiety, trauma, phobias and such, it is also a really good tool to use on a daily basis to release the emotions that build up as the day goes on.
Based upon healing concepts that have been in practice for over 5,000 years in Eastern medicine, tapping is a set of techniques that stimulates meridian points by tapping on them with your fingertips - literally tapping into your own body's energy and healing power. During the session, Julianne will guide you through some simple tapping and together we will move the feeling over overwhelm to a place of calm and relaxation. Tapping creates space inside our emotional bodies, space for us to pause and breath before we respond and react. EFT has been scientifically proven to reduce cortisol levels, associated with prolonged stress.
The second half of the programme is a sound bath. Plug in your headphones, lie down, with your blankets and pillow, close your eyes and rest. A body scan (Mindfulness) meditation will settle the body and mind and we will set an intention for the sound, working with the energies created following the tapping and then just let the sound take over. Steph will create specific sound frequencies and vibrations to calm the nervous system using a whole range of instruments such as Gongs, Himalayan and quartz crystal singing bowls, chimes and rattles. The frequencies work at a cellular level to help the system to rebalance through slowing sown the brain state and releasing any blocked or dense energy, which might be holding the body in an unhealthy state.
As an experience many talk about being immersed in powerful waves of sound. People are often surprised and amazed at how physical a Sound Bath can feel, even over Zoom, noticing sensations in different parts of their body, or how emotions and memories can be brought to the fore and released as temperature shifts, with movement. tears or laughter. Some speak of entering a dream like state, while others feel a deep sense of relaxation or even re-energised.
There will be time to share and ask questions at the end of the session, with support offered after the workshop if needs be.

Julianne has worked for over 20 years within the field of mental health nursing and has a wealth of experience, she is also trained in Advanced EFT, Matrix Re-imprinting and Reiki.
