Stretch and Gong Relaxation

About The Event
Saturday 10th Oct
6pm - 8pm
Flexibility is integral to our health and mobility. Flexible muscles help reduce the risk of injury and increase your range of movement. If you have tight and inflexible muscles these can pull the body out of its natural alignment causing problems such as knee, back, shoulder and hip joints. Stretching can help reverse these postural bad habits. This class is designed to help stretch those tight muscles out and improve flexibility and strengthen the core muscles. We will begin with a warm up, put our bodies through a variety of simple stretches and end with a cool down into relaxation with Sound.
All you need to do is lie on your mat, snuggle in a blanket and pillow, so that you are warm and comfortable. Breathe, relax and soak up the sounds from the Himalayan singing bowls and gongs... Then observe the mind beginning to slow, as superficial and irrational thoughts are suspended, stresses release and the whole being is gently returned to harmonic balance.
~ Please bring a mat, or something to lie on, blanket, pillow (anything to make a comfortable space), we CANNOT lend out any equipment. ~ Following government guidelines on social distancing, please take care to ensure that we can be safely distanced, while still socially connected. Leave plenty of space around you. If you are coming with people from the same household you can be closer together. ~ Please do not come if you feel unwell with any of the virus symptoms (obvs!!)
Please get in touch with details of any medical conditions or metal work in the body.
